Getting in the Christmas Spirit with Thorntons

Last week, Thorntons in Liverpool one invited me to come in to the launch of their store’s new look.

Thorntons was kind enough to gift me & my plus one many different kinds of their chocolate!

We really felt quite Christmassy looking at all the advent calendars, drinking hot chocolates and mentally picking out Christmas presents for friends & family. It may be a little early to be getting in the spirit but we just couldn’t help it!

I decided to have the chocolate advent calendar customised for my mum as, like me, she is a big fan of chocolate & Christmas!

My fave chocolate was the bear as it was just so cute, could be customised and was quite a sizeable amount of chocolate! I loved watching my message be inscribed on the bear in chocolate writing, they took such care creating it! I chose to go with a bear pun for my custom message to my mum ‘I love you beary much‘… Like ‘very’ but its a bear! 😂

I also really loved seeing the new cafe part of the store where they offer afternoon tea! We got to try some cakes and tarts too!

We also got to select some chocolate blocks from the chocolate library. Yes, you read that right. A CHOCOLATE LIBRARY! If you know anything about me, then you’ll know that’s my kinda library!

Personally, for me, the best part of the launch was the hot chocolate! I like to think of myself as a hot chocolate connoisseur. So having the chance to try some of Thorntons own hot chocolate was AMAZING! I gotta say, I was so impressed with their alpini hot chocolate, it was definitely my fave one! I’m still craving it, that’s how you know its good… or you’ve developed a new addiction- either way.
